APA information on pandemics

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: In the mandate from Governor Mills today, 3-18-20, the Mills Administration is “recommending hospital systems and health care providers across Maine postpone non-urgent medical procedures, elective surgeries, and appointments until further notice.” The office will therefore be moving outpatient appointments to the VSee video platform by the end of this week, with the exception of situations where it is urgent clients are seen in person. Caring for you, our valued clients, is the purpose for our existence. To combat the coronavirus pandemic, we will be disinfecting surfaces in between clients and thoroughly each weekend. In addition, we are asking clients and staff to wash or disinfect hands prior to each in-person session. We will be relaxing our 24-hour cancellation policy with regard to illness and ask that clients and staff not come to the office, if symptomatic. During this challenging time, we remain committed to your optimal emotional and physical health. If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us via Facebook message, e-mail () () (), or phone (207-862-3370). With our best wishes for happiness and good health.

Just an announcement that the week of May 11, Dr. David Prescott will have additional availability to see new clients (via telepsychology or in person, depending on the status of the coronavirus pandemic at that time). If you are interested in establishing a therapy relationship with him, please e-mail Dr. David Prescott () or our Practice Manager, Ruth Siebert () directly, or give us a call at 207-862-3370.
